• I recently used the Renters Choice Chicago website by chance to find an appartment. I wanted to write you to tell you what an amazing experience I had with one of your agents Debra Kerwin!!! At the end of June I was told I had received this job that I had been interviewing for since October of last year. I was finally going to be making the move from Indianapolis to Chicago!!!! I had put my 60 day notice in for my then appartment months prior with the hopes that I would get the job and they were going to place me somewhere within the Chicago market. So as the end of June approached I finally got the call!! They wanted me in basically less than 2wks. So I packed up with just enough to last me until the big move. Problem was I had no where to move. I began staying at a hotel in the Orland area and was given a list of a few realtors near the area. Of the four people I contacted one had called back and did what they had promised to do, which was to put me on a list and let me know when something came up in their data base that they thought I may like. Which was just one email after another of listings that weren't always what I was looking for, not available and way over my price range. Needless to say that went on for days with no good leads and no return phone calls from any of the other realtors. I was at the end of my timeline and really the end of my rope with nothing that was gonna pan out before I had to be 100% out of my place in Indy by July 4th. (Yeah really great timing it was also a national holiday stuff was about to be closed for the holiday weekend!!) One evening by chance I had been googling appartments in Chicago when the Renters Choice website came up. I was told by someone at work of a few areas that would be great locations to look for apartments in and one of them was LaGrange Park. When I put in the LaGrange Park area Debra's name had popped up on a few listings I had been looking at so I called her. That same day of leaving a message with her she called me right back. I told her of all the problems that I was having with realtors not calling me back and about my 1week deadline of finding a place for me and my cats to live by July 4th. Even with all that bagage she immediatly started helping me find the ones I had liked off the site and contacted them to make appointments! Since I didn't know the areas in which were listed on the site I really relied upon Debra and her knowledge of the area and told her the things I was looking for in an appartment. One place in particular had several listings for it and it was in the LaGrange Park area so we decided to hit it first. After making the appointment and walking through it one time with Debra I feel in love with the area and with the appartment that I decided right then I would take it! We had achieved the impossible, found a place in one day. I signed the lease within the next two days and moved my stuff in with 3 days left to spare before my timeline as up! If it weren't for Debra and being able to use her knowledge of what her clients are looking, for I probably would be still living out of my suit case at that hotel in Orland with my stuff in a storage locker somewhere waiting and wondering when the other agents were ever going to call me back. She totally met and exceeded all of my expectations and was very willing to do whatever it took to get me into those appointmet as soon as possible with my crazy work schedule. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to move, rent or buy!! I work in customer service and know how important it is to make your customers day!
